Free sales tracker and leaderboard template for Google Sheets and Excel.
A sales tracker that logs every deal, and a leaderboard that ranks each rep by revenue, with deals, goal and percent of goal, data bars and a team total. Use it as a spreadsheet, or point GoalHorn at it and the same sheet becomes a live leaderboard on the office TV, with a celebration for every new row.
Free, no sign-up. Opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.

Download the template.
Three files with the same five sample reps. Replace the sample rows with your own wins and the totals follow.
Excel workbook (.xlsx)
A Wins tab, a Leaderboard tab that ranks each rep with revenue, deals, goal and percent of goal, data bars and a team total, and a Read me tab. Also opens in Google Sheets and Numbers (data bars show in Excel; in Google Sheets, use the SPARKLINE formula below).
Wins log (.csv)
One row per win: Date, Rep, Amount, Note. Import it into Google Sheets to start a log, and it is also the layout GoalHorn reads live.
Rep totals (.csv)
One row per rep: Rep, Revenue, Deals, Goal. For teams that keep running totals instead of a log.
What's in the workbook.
Plain formulas you can read and change, no macros.
Wins
The log: one row per closed deal with the date and time, the rep, the amount and a note. This is the only tab you type into day to day.
Leaderboard
Each rep's revenue and deals totalled from the log, their rank, their goal and the percent of goal, with bars that compare the reps, a percent-of-goal bar that fills toward 100%, and a team row underneath.
A new period in one cell
Type the first day of the month into Count wins from, and the leaderboard counts only wins since then. Older rows stay in the log.
A sales tracker on its own
The Wins tab works as a simple sales tracker even if nobody looks at the leaderboard: every deal with its date, rep and amount, ready to filter, chart or hand to payroll.

Build a sales leaderboard in Google Sheets.
Starting from a blank sheet? Three formulas do most of the work. They assume a tab named Wins with Date, Rep and Amount in columns A to C.
Choosing what to rank by? Read what makes a sales leaderboard work.
Log the wins
One row per win on the Wins tab. Zapier, Make or a GoHighLevel workflow can add the rows when deals close, so nobody types them.
Rank the reps
On a second tab, QUERY totals each rep's revenue and deals and sorts the list, so the leader is always on top.
=QUERY(Wins!A1:C, "select B, sum(C), count(C) where B is not null group by B order by sum(C) desc label B 'Rep', sum(C) 'Revenue', count(C) 'Deals'", 1)Count this month only
The same formula with a date filter that moves to the 1st of each month by itself.
=QUERY(Wins!A1:C, "select B, sum(C), count(C) where B is not null and toDate(A) >= date '"&TEXT(EOMONTH(TODAY(),-1)+1,"yyyy-mm-dd")&"' group by B order by sum(C) desc label B 'Rep', sum(C) 'Revenue', count(C) 'Deals'", 1)Draw the bars
In D2, then fill down beside each rep. Each bar is scaled to the leader's total.
=SPARKLINE(B2, {"charttype","bar"; "max",MAX(B$2:B); "color1","#ffb21a"})Light up the top three
Select A2:C, choose Format, Conditional formatting, Custom formula is, enter =ROW()<=4 and pick a gold fill.
Or build it in Excel.
The workbook above uses these, plus a date filter on Count wins from (cell B2), on a Leaderboard tab with rep names in column B from row 5.
Total each rep
=SUMIFS(Wins!C:C, Wins!B:B, B5)Count their deals
=COUNTIFS(Wins!B:B, B5)Rank them
=RANK(C5, $C$5:$C$14)Add bars
Select the revenue column and choose Home, Conditional Formatting, Data Bars.
Put the leader first
Data, Sort, by Revenue, largest to smallest. In Excel 365, =SORTBY(B5:D14, C5:C14, -1) keeps a sorted copy up to date.
Put the template on the office TV.
A spreadsheet ranks the reps, and nobody watches it. GoalHorn reads the same sheet and turns it into a live leaderboard for the TV, with a celebration for every new row.
Make it a Google Sheet
Open a new sheet, choose File, Import, Upload, and pick the wins log. Using the Excel file instead? Open it in Google Sheets and choose File, Save as Google Sheets.
Share it by link
Choose Share, set General access to Anyone with the link as Viewer, and copy the link.
Paste it into GoalHorn
Open the app, choose Live sheet (any CRM), paste the link into CSV link and press Test the link. Rep names appear on the board from the sheet; add the same names on the Reps page for photos and goals.
Open the TV link
On the office TV, press Start once. From then on, every new row is a celebration. Need a hand with the screen? See the sales TV dashboard setup guide.
Spreadsheet leaderboard or live leaderboard?
Same rows, two very different screens.
| Topic | Spreadsheet | GoalHorn, same sheet |
|---|---|---|
| Updates | When someone opens the sheet. | Every 30 seconds, on its own. |
| Where it shows | A browser tab on one computer. | The office TV and every rep's phone. |
| A new win | A bigger number in a cell. | The rep's name full screen, the amount counting up, confetti and a sound. |
| The ranking | A sorted list. | A race where reps trade places on air. |
| Cost | Free. | Free for up to 5 reps, then $49 a month flat. |
Sales leaderboard template questions.
Is this sales leaderboard template free?
Yes. The Excel workbook and both CSV files download directly from this page, with no sign-up and no email address.
How do I make a sales leaderboard in Excel?
Log wins on one tab with the date, rep and amount. On a second tab, total each rep with SUMIFS, count deals with COUNTIFS, rank with RANK, and add data bars from Home, Conditional Formatting. The template has all of it set up.
How do I make a leaderboard in Google Sheets?
Keep a Wins tab with the date, rep and amount, then let QUERY total and sort the reps: select B, sum(C) grouped by B and ordered by sum(C), largest first. Add SPARKLINE bars beside each rep for a visual ranking.
Can a spreadsheet leaderboard update automatically?
The formulas recalculate as rows arrive. To add the rows when deals close, connect your CRM with Zapier or Make, or use a GoHighLevel workflow's Google Sheets action.
How do I show a Google Sheets leaderboard on a TV?
Share the sheet as Anyone with the link can view and paste the link into GoalHorn, then open the board's TV link on the screen. GoalHorn reads the sheet every 30 seconds, ranks the reps itself and celebrates every new win.
What should a sales tracking board include?
The date, rep and amount of every win, each rep's goal, and the team goal with how much time is left. Notes about what sold are a nice extra; customer details are better left off a shared screen.
Turn the sheet into a scoreboard.
Free for up to five reps. $49 a month flat when the whole team is on it, and $149 for up to three boards.
